Hi All Just a reminder to remember to login and register for the next event if you intend to play.At the moment we only have 7 players but i am sure more of you just havent got round to doing it.Also has anyone played their matchplay event if so could you let me know the result of your game. Roger still waiting to hear when we can link up to play our game !
Happy to go with the majority vote, i think that we should keep the format of the golf day as normal. Not sure what transport you might have planned but happy to go through for the odd drink or two to celebrate Richards birthday.
As some of you are probably aware our next game falls on Richard Tanners 50th Birthday. He can not attend the golf but as invited members of the society back to his house after the golf where he is holding a party. If enough people are interested then we could cancel the meal after golf and whoever is wants to can go back to Richards house. There may be a possibility of transport. Please let me know via telephone call or the message board.
Hi Roger i have drawn you in the matchplay event which you might not be aware you are entered in.I wonder if you could get in touch so that we can arrange to play before the 31st May. Regards Martin
The 1st matchplay draw has taken place to view who you are playing click the members menu and then matchplay.I have had to do it with 16 players so the system can handle it.I think i have added in the correct people. If you could play your games before the 31st May and let me know the result of your match. If you cant play one player will have to go through on a BYE.The home player has the choice of course, and Colin has the 1st BYE as Graham Barstow wont be able to play before the 31st May Any problems please let me know.
Regarding ollies message about the match play event: He obviously thinks he has a chance of winning he clearly has forgot that the new R&A rule that full shots difference now applys in match play. I wll be surprised if he gets past the first around. Oh and before I forget he will also be getting a good butt kicking this Friday as well as on our golf trip to Spain.
Put me down for the Match play event, could do with another title to my name!!
The system at the moment only allows me to add one guest per player so i have added the other name to Graham Cousins as his guest.
Yep i hope along with yourself and Keith we can get a few more interested in the MatchPlay.Looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday and at the moment the weather doesnt look too bad (famous last words)
Count me in for the matchplay please Martin. Also could you put me down for 2 guests to attend the Captains day at Whitby please. They are Michael Woodrow H/Cap 22 & Martin Carlton H/Cap 24. Many thanks and see you on Friday.
Count me in Martin, We can also ask those attending on Friday if they are interested
Some people have asked do they need to login and register for a event. The simple answer is YES as it helps us in many ways. The 1st of these is for Mick so he knows who will be coming and therefore not having to spend his money ringing around. The 2nd is that now your profile and scorecards are linked to the registration system, without being logged into play the site will not log your scorecard or that you attended and event. So to conclude it only takes a few seconds to do and helps me and Mick with the info that we need.
Well just under a week to go to our next game, So far we have 14 confirmed with the following people letting us know, J Page, J Kaye, P Wearmouth.Should you wish to bring a guest let me know and i can add them into the system.
At the end of this month I plan to do the draw for the Matchplay series for 2008.We need either 8 or 16 players for the computer generated system to work.I would be grateful if you could post a message on the board or e-mail me to let me know if you would like to be entered in to this new event.
My sincere condolences go to Christine and Family. Chris was a good guy and im sure I can speak for many that his friendship and sense of humor will be missed not only by me but all who knew him.
